We optimize better when we analyze and understand better. That’s why our mission is to make the magnetic field more accessible and visible. We research, develop, and reinvent tools that derive important magnet characteristics to understand and solve your magnetic challenges.
Magcam technology pushes the boundaries of magnetic field visualization with a magnetic field camera that measures the entire magnetic field in three dimensions (Bx, By, Bz), including the in-plane field direction (azimuth angle) and the out-of-plane field direction.
Understanding the magnetic field details is key for engineers to improve their magnetic assembly designs. Magcam's solution makes it possible to have insights into the poles’ magnetic intensity by identifying pole peaks, detecting zero-crossing, pinpointing inhomogeneities, etc. In high-performance applications, it is necessary, for instance, to have uniform pole height and symmetric North-South poles.
Small and micro-cracks in magnets can break during assembly, or lead to product damage over time. Recalling the defective products or discarding assembled products is costly. Magcam's advanced measurement systems can automatically screen out visible surface cracks as well as cracks just below the surface.
Not only crack detection, but also magnetization inhomogeneities and material defects can be identified quickly and accurately through the residual magnetic field images.
Magcam's data analysis software features a variety of functions, professionally designed to solve different magnetic challenges:
- Full magnetic field distribution
- Total harmonics distortion (THD)
- Cogging torque
- Gradient analysis
- Fourier analysis
- and much more.
