ENGINEERED FOR PERMANENT MAGNETS & PM ROTORS
With a removable motorized rotary stage and clamping chuck, Combi Scanner can measure the magnetic field distributions of either flat permanent magnets, magnetic assemblies, or PM rotors in two modes:
- Portal mode for large flat magnets and magnetic assemblies (an XYZ scan of 300 x 300 x 300 mm):
The magnetic field camera will be facing downwards in this mode to measure the magnets from close distances up to 0.5 mm.
- Rotor mode for PM rotors, ring magnets, and ring magnet assemblies (a rotor scan of from 0 to 500 mm):
The motorized rotary stage with a built-in magnetic field camera will be facing forward to measure radial permanent magnet rotors and curved segments in this rotor mode.
How does the Combi Scanner measure the full three-component magnetic field?
At the heart of the Combi Scanner, you can find the MiniCube 3D, Magcam's magnetic field camera. It is integrated into the Combi Scanner, which helps the scanner provide quantitative 3D (Br, Ba, Bt) magnetic field mapping of any permanent magnet or permanent magnet rotors (PM rotors). The MiniCube 3D in the Combi Scanner can be rotated 90 degrees downwards or upwards thanks to a rotary stage, allowing important magnet characteristics to be collected flexibly.
